Students who choose to study Economics do so for a variety of reasons, one of which is the wide range of careers that are opened up to graduates. An A-Level in economics often leads to a degree course in the same subject and this in turn can lead to a multitude of job opportunities including positions in accountancy, finance, stocks & shares, the IT industry and teaching. Students who take economics also tend to take maths, sociology, English and occasionally politics and law to compliment their studies. Admittedly economics is an in-depth subject and requires a lot of hard work however the potential benefits are easily worth it.
