I want you to please consider this letter as my intent to apply for an English teaching position in your established institute.
My name is Benedict Adewale Idowu-Akinbami, I had Higher National Diploma { HND} in Purchasing and Supply and my second degree in Managerial Psychology from the university of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Though I am not a professional teacher nor do I have any teaching experience but my passion for teaching profession is highly rated, having a tremendous love for education and children in particular. I believe that I am ready to take the responsibility of a teacher as I have already equipped myself with skills and learning which I have gained through the series of courses I attended and training that I had.
The greatest assets I bring to the table are my unique interest, passion and self motivation, in view of this, I engaged myself in further self developmental studies, among which are 120 hour TEFL certificate course, which qualifies me for an international English teaching jobs, not only that, I further obtained a diploma certificate in Educational Psychology, this course broaden my knowledge and understanding on how to teach various special and disable students, various ways children receive information, process information, assimilate and act on the information, and various strategies to teach students with intellectual disabilities and behavioral disorder.
After the above , i further obtained a diploma certificate in Child Psychology, this course further exposed me to the knowledge of child behavioral pattern, child emotional trauma, child social and abnormal development and child temperaments etc. Considering the above, one can see that I possess a calm attitude and a superb understanding of student’s needs.
The combinations of all the courses, training and seminars, those stated here and those in my resume, make me a better child counselor, my commitment to advancing a class of learners can never be overlooked. The essence of all these courses is to instill a love of learning and a desire for constant knowledge within each student.
