I have been a full-time tutor for the past 4 years & part-time tutor for more than 10 years.
I use a student-centered approach to teach, & do not believe in rote-learning but rather learning by understanding & asking questions. I am passionate about teaching, guiding, encouraging & mentoring students to achieve their best potential & excel.

I have a
BSc Hons (Second Class Upper Degree) in Biological Sciences
from National University of S`pore (NUS) 1985,
a MSc in Microbiology by research from NUS in 1987
a MSc in Molecular Genetics by Coursework from University of Leicester, UK in 1992
a PhD in Molecular Genetics from University College London, UK in 2000

Availability: I am available at both day & evening Monday-Friday & Sunday.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: I have more than 30 years of Biological Sciences teaching, research experience in various Schools, Polytechnics, Universities & Private Educational Institutes in S`pore & the UK.
I having taught in primary, secondary schools in S`pore (Parry Primary, Serangoon Garden Sec Sch, Yusof Ishak Sec Sch)
Lecturer in Nanyang Polytechnic (School of Chemical & Life Sciences) Diploma in Biotechnology students,
Senior Lecturer cum Manager in MDIS (School of Life Sciences) BSc (Hons) Biomedical/Biotechnology Degree students.

I have been teaching in Clear Minds Education Centre (located in Serangoon Gardens before they closed in 2017) as a part-time tutor for about 5 years.

Subjects I have taught Science (Biology & Chemistry) at `N`, `O` levels, Biology at `A`Levels.
