I am a recent graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with an Honours in History. I transferred to NUS after 2 years at Vassar College, New York where I studied Art History and Chinese.
Prior to this I went to United World College of Southeast Asia in Singapore, where I obtained my IB Diploma. My Higher Levels were English Literature (7), History (6) and Art (7). My Standard Levels were Chinese (6), Chemistry (6) and Math (5).
I am a creative and social person. I am Korean but grew up in Singapore in a very diverse environment so I am comfortable in engaging with people from different backgrounds. I have been greatly privileged in receiving a very liberal and valuable education that I am incredibly grateful for. I hope that I can make learning interesting and enjoyable to the individual just as it was for me.

In 2012 I tutored three Korean siblings (ages 9 to 12) basic English for around 3 months, once or twice a week. They already had some basic knowledge of English but their grammar and vocabulary was very poor. I taught them different sentence structures, new vocabulary through novels and movies, and gave them spelling tests every other week. By the end of my time with them they spoke to me mostly in English rather than Korean.
I was a Teaching Assistant for English and Math to primary school children as a volunteer in a school in Ubud, Bali everyday for a week. There were a lot of learning games and visual exercises involved.
